Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, is one of the world's oldest cities. It is the only Metropolitan City in the country. The city stands at an elevation of approximately 1,400 metres (4,600 ft) in the bowl-shaped.It is surrounded by four major hills: Shivapuri, Nagarjun,Phulchoki, and Chandragiri.With the measurements of 49.45 km² (19.09 sq  mi) Kathmandu Valley is a part of three districts( Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kathmandu) in Bagmati Zone. It has the highest population density in the country.Kathmandu is the gateway to tourism in Nepal.
